A discussion with Michigan State Rep Bruck, his wife Natalie, and daughter Ana

Rep. William Bruck was first elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in November 2022. He represents the 30th House District. A decorated combat veteran, Will served in the U.S. Army for more than 30 years, retiring in 2023 with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4. Between his enlistment in 1992 and his retirement, he deployed overseas on four tours of duty, serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria. He also received numerous awards, including two Bronze Star Medals, the Meritorious Service Medal and a Combat Action Badge.

Rep Brucks’s daughter Ana, wrote and illustrated a book called “Hope on Four Hooves A True Story of a military family’s journey through the struggles of PTSD” when she was 14 years old.

She wrote the book with the intentions of assisting other kids and families as well as wanted to donate a portion of the proceeds.

Ana shares her emotions and her journey as a young child living with a military father who struggles with PTSD. She opens the door and allows you to look inside the reality of her home.

She takes care of horses in an indoor and outdoor arena. Ana volunteers as an aid for kids Social Emotional Equine Assisted Learning (SEEAL) program.

 

 

Will and his wife, Natalie, have nine children.

Community service is very important to Will – be it for the veteran community, the small-business community, or the Monroe County community as a whole. He is involved with the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Little Blessings Veterans and Community Outreach and Rotary Club. As a small-business owner, he has been a member of the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce, and in addition to his home care business, he has served local senior citizens through the Monroe Aging Consortium, where he has been a member of the board. Prior to his election to the House, Will also served six years on the Monroe County Community College Board of Trustees
